whats up with me
Saturday my 17 year old called my dad crying saying she was ready to come home. She was miserable with the boyfriend. So my parents drive 8 hours to get her, spent 250 dollars on gas food and a hotel..Get up Sunday morning to come back home, the boyfriend calls my dads cell phone. My dad told him to quit calling and my daughter threatened to jump out of the car..Anyway they came back to La..and she didnt want to be here.she was being mean and throwing her fit.she left and went with her nanny then came back home..Long story short---she is going back to him this morning by herself on a bus.She just wont listen to us.

Oh Tracy....I am so sorry. Please don\'t blame yourself, you are a wonderful mother. Someday she will realize how good she had it with you. Please know I am here for you to talk to, vent, cry or whatever. I am praying for your daughter.
you know what T let her go if she wants to go back and be miserable don\'t any of you bail her out again seems she didn\'t appreciate the effort your parents made that was alot of money for gas and to have to stay in a hotel plus food, people can\'t just up and go get her everytime something goes wrong just to have her turn around and run back to him,if that is the life she chooses so be it but she can\'t be allowed to uproot others lives in the meantime.well T you know that I am here for you, prayer does help and sounds like your daughter needs that at this time.Have a good day hun and do hang in there,Kim
Tracy - You know that unfortunately you can\'t keep her from going back or making her own mistakes. Some are just bigger than others. You parents are gems for even doing this and they only want the best for their granddaughter, but sometimes they won\'t even listen to them. One of these times you daughter will have to learn that everyone can\'t just drop their lives because she\'s unhappy with the situation that she put herself back into when everyone was trying to save her from it. That\'s really going to be a tough lesson for her to learn and for you and your parents to stand behind. I feel for since since I have two girls for myself. My thoughts and prayers are with you hon!
CB is sooo right....they gotta learn the hard way....the hard part for you is wanting to be there over and over and over when they fall. My wife\'s gone through the same thing w/her 3 girls. The youngest of which is 18, with a baby herself. Just stay strong and rely on the family you can trust to help YOU when you need it, and that will get you through it all.
I am so sorry about your daughter (sorry - I am getting caught up on the journal entries - so this is late). I remember, when I was that age, I felt like I knew it all - or at least I did not want anyone telling me what to do. In my mind - I knew what I wanted to know (not that it was right - but I guess that is how we grow and mature).
I think the frustrating part is the boyfriend and how she cannot break his control over her nor her actions. It is an age thing - being a teen you want to be accepted by friends and boyfriends - and sometimes all logic gets thrown out the window.
Have you heard from her, since she left?
My heart goes out to you - it is a tough situation to be in.
Stay strong and let her know that you, and your family, are there to support her - should she get herself into a jam. My parents, every once in awhile = always tell me that no matter how old I am - if I ever get into a situation that I feel I cannot handle - to call them and they will do whatever it takes to help me out. I have not, fortunately, had to take them up on their offer - but it is nice to know (even as an adult) that I have that support from them.
Love you to pieces -
Julie
