WHAT IF
What if. We had never had our child in our lives
What if We had never held our child close to our bodies when the fevers can
What if..We had never heard the words mommy I have a booboo and What if
You never got to kiss that BooBoo away
What if you never got to hear those sweet words I love you mom.
What if we never felt the love for a child or the love you felt while your child was here on this earth.
What if. So many Why's go through our minds and yet we are sad they are gone..
But if i had never had my child, and even though the pain can and is devasting all the What If we can think of all the what if joys we remember. I woul not take the joys i remember, the laughs from the baby bed, the joy of the first birthday, even the agurments as he grew
NO MATTER THE DEPTHS OF THE PAIN, I WOULD TAKE THIS PAIN TO HAVE ALL THE MEMORIES .
I KNOW SOME MOMS IN THIS GROUP DID NOT HAVE THEIR CHILD AS LONG AS OTHERS BUT THE THING WE ALL SHARE IS THAT LOVE A MOM FEELS FOR HER CHILD.
ALL THE WHY"S CANNOT BE ANSWERED
BUT ALL THE WHAT IF'S HAD WE NOT HAD WE WOULD NOT KNOW THE JOY WE WERE GIVEN.
I LOVE YOU MY SWEET KENNY AND I THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MEMORIES THAT WILL LIVE IN MY HEART UNTIL THE DAY WE START NEW ONES..I WOULD TAKE NOTHING FOR OUR MEMORIES, OUR JOY, OUR LOVE. FOREVER YOU MOMMY.

This is helpful, and yes, I agree: better to have known and loved my Jakey, then never to have had him. Just hoping that the pain can decrease, it\'s been over five years now, and I can breath deep again. Tomorrow my 3 kids are making us a 50th wedding anniversary party, and the 4th space will be very present by his abscense. G-d how I miss my boy!
I can\'t imagine not having Lisa in our lives; nor would I ever want to. Thanks for posting this Sandi.
Tight hugs, M
So true, Sandi. I have been and will be always grateful to have had our Josh in our lives. Well said! Sending love and hugs, Leda
SO very true and one thing that I always hold very dear to my heart. The world IS a better place because our children lived and are only in the \"next room.\"
Loving care dear Sandi,
XO Joanie
Our son/ brother Patrick changed our lives for the better..he was everyone\'s go to guy. He made us laugh and livened up every event. Holidays are so quiet now...but, oh the memories.
Oh so very true Sandi and so beautifully written!
Love and tight hugs,
Diane
You have helped me to remember how much I had and what delightful experiences we had as mom and son. Just like you, missing him like crazy, yet loving them forever and ever.
XOXO, Debbie
Yes it is so much better to have had my girls. Life would have been so horrid at least I have all the good memories. Peace!!!
Kala was most definitely supposed to BE on planet earth. She touched so many, just as your Kenny did! I just wish their time here could have been longer....much longer. But knowing how the world was made a better place because they were here sure helps our broken hearts to heal! It was amazing...and still happens....how many people tell me stories of Kala and how she made their lives better. I never knew how VERY much she did for others...and never will know all of it I\'m sure.
Your Kenny was an awesome man and lived his life in service to others. I know how shattered your heart is, and I also know how proud you are of him. Carry that pride with you as you continue your journey!
Love and hugs~
I agree, Sandi. As much as it hurts that our children left too soon, I wouldn\'t have traded being Ed\'s mom for anything! Love and peace, Linda
Just as no child can replace the one that is gone, I would never give up all the happy times to escape the sad ones. Much love. Robin
