What Would I Do Without You Guys?
I've just been thinking about how much it helps to be able to...........write anything. And then to know that there actually are DS members reading it!!
That's what our husbands did. They let us tell them exactly how we felt about eveything. We could be completely honest. And.........They listened!!
I'm just realizing how much DS is helping me these days. What would I do without you guys?
We HONESTLY write........... how we are really feeling.
And then other DS friends ACTUALLY read what we write.
Thanks to all who READ my (sometimes disjointed) posts.

Karen, I agree, we lost our best friend when we lost our husbands...we told them everything including exactly how we felt. I can`t do that with my family or friends but can share my true feelings here on DS. Thanks for being there...I love reading your journals and posts and thank you for picking me up when I am down, hugs Lu Ann
Karen, I feel the same way. It makes you feel \"validated\". and boy do we need THAT now more than ever!!!
I always read your postings! and thank you for being a great friend!!
Hugs, Diane
Karen, our writing keeps us sane and reading makes us realize we\'re not alone. What a blessing! Hugs, Kip.
I can so relate, Karen.
It is amazing what our support group/family means to me. Coping alone with severe disability pushed me right off the edge of that high cliff of reality. I landed here and it actually saved my life just with the support we share.

It\'s true. Who would of thought that we would write all our feelings on a board like this and get replies back that make one know that grief is shared by many. I don\'t write much on here, still don\'t feel comfortable about it. But, I do read alot. The reading is self fulfilling to know that most on here feel the same way no matter where they are in their time line of it.
Thanks for the post!
Kate
When I signed on to DS I had no idea how much it would mean to me. All of the lovely people here I now consider true friends. We may never meet face to face but I feel so close to all of you. Diane
It\'s just nice to know that there is someone out there who cares what I write about....not that I\'ve written anything lately, but it\'s nice to know y\'all are there.
I agree with Loran. The Journal is such a great way to work through things...and everyone at DS are the best :)
It is because we all \"get it\". No one knows, understands, and shares each others\' grief like we do. DS was really my \"lifeline\" for over a year after I joined. I would SO much love to meet my DS friends. I have met one, and it was very nice. She is a jewel. I wish there could be a gathering for southeastern NY and northeastern PA.
Karen It is great to have the abiity to share what we are thinking and feeling. People who have not walked this path often do not understand. We all share such a strong bond and yes it does help to just have people listen and the feed back is sure helpful. Don\'t know what I would have done with out all the great people here. Hugs Jane
Karen, I agree with what you wrote. It is so nice to be able to express our feelings and thoughts on DS and have those things read & sometimes commented on & encourage by our DS friends. What a blessing!!
Hugs, Linda
Disjointed to some, but they make sense to me and everyone here.
take care, jim
Dear Karen...you are right about DS. I have been greatly helped by my loving friends here. I stay here (on DS) even though my husband is gone because I want to do something positive by being here for my friends in their time of need. We\'ve become family and although we are connected through cyber space, I feel as close as I do with my family here at home. Love to you, Linda
Karen,
I, too, agree with what you said. I have tried many times to explain to my friends how important DS has been to me on this journey. They cannot begin to grasp how the friends I have made here but have never and may never meet have eased my journey. My daughter found this site for me in the early days after Jim\'s death and I will be forever grateful for the comfort and support I have received from my \"cyber\" friends.
Hugs, Dianne
We are all here for each other. We are all brothers and sisters. I love you all. Even though we havent met we are never really alone even though we feel that way most of the time. It just we miss our spouses so much. I find comfort from all of you and I do care about you too. Edie
