What worked before will work again...

My childhood left a lot of scars on body and mind, and i spent my teens and 20s using bad habits and good ones to try and deal with it.  By 25 I started to get a handle on the good habits that would break my bad ones.  By 30 I was living a manageable life and had my act together mostly.
Then i got to thinking "I'm fine now, I don't have to do what got me well EVERY day..."  And I was right, I was able to coast for a long time just occasionally doing what got me fixed.  Life threw me some curves, but doing what got me well "just when i had a bad day"  kept me from going back to a full blown alcoholic and all the rest of my list of old issues.
Then things got rocky, I relapsed into a lot of bad habits I thought were long buried.  I got back into step work, especially step 12, "Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs."  I reached back to those in worse shape than i was in, and by telling them what worked for me BEFORE I got back into the habit of doing the same things myself again.  By helping some others get off the ground and up on their knees, i was able to get back on my feet.
I still need to get back to what worked and doing it EVERY DAY so i don't go through all this again any time soon. Crashing and burning again a few times more will kill me so I plan on not crashing and burning even once.
This journal is mostly to remind myself what I'm supposed to be doing.  It also is what worked for me back in the 90s, but now i can add links to web sites and things, it isnt like in 1987 when i had to mail order books and cassette tapes for this information thank God.  So if anyone likes my advice or likes me, YOU can take a look at what I used to do daily and give it a try yourself.
Dr. Weil's web site has information all in one place I would have paid 100s for in 1987, and it's free you lucky young people today. ;)
http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART00536/reduce-stress.html a good list of things that I use to do daily.
Progressive relaxation, totally worth it.  http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/TIP00436
breathing exercises like this one will save your life http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/VDR00112/The-4-7-8-Breath-Benefits-and-Demonstration.html
and archive.org, a bazillion books and movies and audio books for free?  damn where was this in the 90s?
The Royal Canadian Air Force exercise plan made me a healthier person at 25 and I wish to God I'd kept up with it here it is for free.  I need to do this daily again
