What to do when its quiet

This is what I do early in the morning when its quiet.....

Serenity Pond by David Imagine if you will, walking in a dense forest, sunlight filtering down from Heaven through thick massive trees as God shines His glory upon the earth. A slow, methodical, winding dirt path blazes up a low, shadowed pocked hill. Matted orange, red and yellow leaves blanket the cool brown earth. Hearken to the sound they produce when crunching softly under foot. Green moss grows on felled tree branches. Rocks jut out of the ground in a haphazard way. Mushrooms pop up randomly around tree trunks in small tight clusters. As you soak it all in your mind begins to ease, your body relaxes. A gentle, cool, deliberate breeze whisks by, bringing the smells of the fresh spring air to your nose. You inhale a deep, long breath until it fills you up, holding for just a brief moment, exhaling slowly as a serene calmness embraces your mind, body and soul. Birds sings enchanting love songs from hidden treetop perches. Crickets chirp instrumental melodies of peace and hope. Butterflies flutter through the air with the grace of a ballerina. On top of the hill flanked by towering trees on three sides sits a serene, calm pond with water as smooth as windblown glass. Green lilypads with white flowers abloom float lazily near the water's edge. Dense colonies of sausage shaped cattail spikes line the moist gently sloped banks. An old algae ridden wooden deck with rusted nails silently hugs the far shore. Blue, red and green dragonflies touch the water for just a brief moment then fly away. Bullfrogs croak a solemn tune that reverberates through the crisp clean air. Narcissus' flowers bend over to bask at themselves in the mirror-like water. Buzzing bees fly from blossom to blossom collecting that sweet nectar of life. White clouds drift overhead in the otherwise blue sky. Peace and serenity wrap their arms around you like a warm quilt. No worries or troubles can enter here. This truly is paradise in all its great Godly glory. Slowly take it all in, as its time to go. Quietly bring yourself back down the hill with this new peace-filled calm serene soul. Your journey is over but never forgetten.
