What to do now ?

I get up each morning in a mental haze. I have lost other loved ones over the years and thought I knew GRIEF but I have NEVER known this type of mental pain existed. Everyone I know seems to expect it to be improving for me. After all, it has been 3 1/2 months. They just don't get it.

I am now t the 4 1/2 month mark. I have decided not to think about tomorrow or the days after tomorrow. I have decided to rise each day and concentrate on each day separately. I have accepted the fact my wife, Debbie, is not coming back. I have also made a decision to strengthen my spiritual needs as I travel an unknown path through this massive pain of grief. I have no other options.

Darrell,
I\'m so sorry...we do get it...and we are here for you. Keep venting my friend,
Let the tears flow, they are healing.

yes - I really do get it..I\'ve said that same thing to people over and over...that losing a spouse is very very different than anything else..I have had great loss...my mother, father and best friend..THIS is very different..my prayers are w/ you...

The loss of a spouse...hardest thing I\'ve ever done...harder than losing my whole family over the years, I thought my brother leaving was tough...
Not compared to this...ill be 2 years next month...the sadness and missing him are still there...but the time between tears is longer and I recover quicker.
My faith was what got me through...I can get a hug from Jesus any time I need one. Saying a prayer for you now.
