What To Do- HELP
So here is the skinny. I "met" this guy on Match. He is anxious to meet in person, after exchanging photos and a few emails. (He also is dying to talk on the phone, which I dread with anyone). I sort of agreed to meet him not far from my home on Wednesday. I find myself with a whopping $16 in my bank account!! I don't feel comfortable going out with someone and not paying my own way. I am afraid that $16 won't do it. I really don't want to transfer funds from savings. I have done that now at least four times to pay the bills that ass wipe left me with (so that services would not be completely shut off). So, here's the question.
1. Do I tell this guy the truth? That I am low on funds this week and it would probably be better to wait until after payday?
2. Do I not tell him why, but decline seeing him until after payday?
3. Do I transfer the funds and pay myself back after payday?
Help, you guys. San

I\'d do option 3 personally. There is also a chance that he might be nice and pay for you, without you needing to ask, which if he does, I\'d let him. Then you could transfer it back. I\'m glad you found someone, and that things are looking up for you.
The usual, be careful meeting someone new, and all that, but I hope you have a good time, and that you two hit it off.
I hope getting out there and dating immediately will work for you.
Do not tell him your financial business, not yet. I hate having to dip in the savings but if the meeting is very important to you then do it and pay yourself back.
IMO a first in-person meeting should be someplace \"light and casual\" like over coffee or something. and not involve a big fancy dinner OR a long amount of time. What IF when you meet him, you take an immediate dislike to him or something doesn\'t jive with you? Rule of thumb: Always have a \"fast exit\" option and that\'s a lot easier when the date is casual! You certainly ought to be able to swing even Starbuck\'s on $16.
Overall, I would caution you NOT to jump in too quickly with ANYONE. It\'s apparent from what you write that you are NOT healed from the past romance. Just my two cents...
Oh BTW we spoke on the phone and he was not my type at all. Referring to special ed kids as regards... yuck
Um. Auto correct. I meant retards.
