What the Future Holds
Well all my initial treatment is over. I can't believe I've gone through 7 months of chemo and radiation. There were days, hours and minutes that I thought I couldn't do it, but I did. I am anxious though about what happens next. I will see the doctor next week and I assume we will discuss how I will be monitored. How can we make sure the cancer does not return? What a scary thing to now live knowing that the cancer could return at any time. What do I do now? I've done everything so far the doctor has told me to do, but now that treatment is over what do I do? How do you live without worrying about cancer? I guess I will now again be taking life one day, one hour and even one minute at a time. I'm scheduled to go stay with my Dad and other family in Michigan next week. We are approaching the one year date of my Mom's death. I feel more anxiety over that. I can't believe it's been almost a year. Probably the most difficult year of my life and my Mom wasn't here with me. I'm sorry a year has gone by already. It almost feels like every day that goes by she is further away from me. I do have faith, but it's hard to keep when you don't feel good. I"ll try to stay positive and faithful and with support I'll move forward. Right???......
