what's Love Got to Do With It?
...actually, everything.
For a couple of months I had someone who really cared about me--or thought so anyway. As usual, I chose someone who was emotionally unavailable. But for those couple of months my life seemed to have purpose and meaning. I wanted to do things, to change things, to improve myself. I started to look at my life from a different perspective.
Now I just don't care any more. I'm alone again, and while that isn't anything new, it seems to hurt so much more. Of course now, not only do I have nobody to talk to, but I have nodody to share this pain with.
This always seems to happen. I open my heart and let someone in and they walk away and take a huge chunk with them leaving me broken and bleeding once more. And every time I swear "never again". I will never open myself up to a new friendship where I put so much of myself into it and give so much of myself away. And for a while, I don't.
This time I don't think I have anything left to give.
