What's Going On?
Why is everyone misspelling the word losing?
I understand it when people misspell words...I have trouble with spelling myself now, though I never did when I was less ill. But this is something different. Everyone seems to misspell this word.
Is this being taught in the schools? It would almost have to be, in order for so many people to misspell the same word. I'm not being sarcastic, I am really puzzled as to why this is happening.
When you add -ing to the verb lose, it's losing, not loosing. Loosing means untying something or setting it free...it comes from the verb loose, not lose. I guess this is just something I'll never figure out.
