What Now, Crazy Lady?

Some of you might remember Crazy Lady,,,the neighbor woman who only speaks Spanish.  She's married to Rueben who has shared his food with me many times.  I lost a tooth in my upper plate trying to explain that one of her dogs tried to bite me.  She's known in the neighborhood for standing in her front yard talking to herself or, maybe, an unseen "friend".  She's been seen washing the street.  She's run a neighbor and me off the edge of her property as we talked.  She's even called the police when she thought the neighbors across the street were looking at her.  She's known as the "Crazy Lady".  Well, this afternoon she freaked me out.  As I drove up from a trip to the store, she was in front of my house cleaning my gutter.  I've had a few visits from the city to pick up tree limbs and some had gotten in the gutter.  And, you know how grass and weeds will grow in the cracks of the cement?  Well, she was taking care of that too.  I tried to tell her she didn't need to do it, but with the language barrier, it was impossible.  All I could do was thank her for it and wave.  What's next Crazy Lady?

That is so funny! Hopefully she never tries to clean the inside of your house. I think every neighborhood has a Crazy Lady! We have one who will call the police if anyone leaves their car (on the street) in one spot too long. So they will come out and move their car a car length away from where they were, periodically, so our \"Crazy Lady\" will be happy. I park my car in the garage, so she never messes with me. Ha-Ha!

She sounds an awful lot like a lady neighbor I knew-and that lady had alzheimers. This lady certainly sounds like she has some issues going on, at least mentally. I think you did the good thing, just wave and say thank you
Gracias in Spanish.
Hola means hello and say it like Oh la
here is a translation site if this will help you

then click spanish in right box

or vice versa

Where is Reuben when all this is going on?
And if she really got weird you can call the authorities? Maybe she\'s lonely and confused too like my neighbor was-and yeah it can be a pain-a challenge-I KNOW- I had to take care of my neighbor lady eventually-she rented from my mom-mom had rentals and I lived onsite as manager, and the ladies son asked me to look out for her-she finally went to assisted living, she wandered off one day and got lost
The police may already know all about her it appears
YEP I think many neighborhoods have one. As long as she is cleaning that is OK and useful

Reuben works all day and she\'s home alone. Apparently, the police know about her. Especially after she called them a couple of weeks ago about the neighbors across the street. We just give her a wide berth and don\'t go to the house unless Reuben is there. She\'s in her 40\'s. I think she\'s never adapted to the US.

She seems to be trying to be helpful. I think her intentions are good.

((hugs))
