what love meant to me 2 years ago

I think love is when you care about someone no matter what they do or say to the point that you want them to live the happiest life they can live and you would do anything in your power to protect them. Love is unconditional, you cant just tell someone you love them when its conveinient for you and then turn around and say you changed your mind and talk bad about them. Love never dies. Love doesnt just go away like ppl say, they all say we just woke up one day and it was gone. thats not the love that is gone, that is the desire. Love is faithful, you dont turn your back on someone you love, you do everything you can to stick with them and make them happy. Love is patient, you dont try and force someone you love to grow or mature at the same speed as you or when you are ready for them to act a certain way expect them to. You have to be patient and let them grow in God's time not yours. Love is when someone could stab you in the heart and your last words be i love you or im sorry (not literal just an illistration dont go stabbin ppl u love now 2 c if they love u!) love 4 me is like a mother raising her child. she watches over them and guides them but lets them make enough mistakes to learn and grow and shes there for the scraped knees and the bloody noses or when he has a bad dream and wakes up crying, scared to go back to sleep. mommys voice can sooth the child right back to sleep knowing he is safe because she loves him and would protect him from everything. love isnt about gifts or favors. you cant only love a person because they do things for you. love is forever. for me love doesnt end at the grave but instead is just paused until resurection day when the 2 will be reunited to love each other all over again. im only 17 and ppl say i dont know what love is but to me this is love. loving someone no matter what for ever and a day, never giving up on the person always encouraging them and helping them grow in every way possible. Love is also forgiving, if you love someone no matter what they do you forgive then the first time they ask and let them know you forgive them dont torture them with guilt making them beg you to forgive just because it proves your point. God doesnt do that to you but instead when we ask his forgiveness he erases our sin and makes us clean again! Love is so many things to me. and i could go on forever but i think you get the picture here. I might not have found love in a man yet but i have found many friends whom i love dearly and they love me back, so i know what love is contrary to what my elders say! This is the reason im very careful who i say I love you to. If i dont mean it i wont ever say it, it scares me to make a commitment to a person who i dont feel that way about so i wait until i trust them and myself with the commitment and then i love them & tell them so. If i tell someone i love them, its not just "the polite thing 2 do" its straight from the heart. NO ONE should toy with ppl's emotions by just throwing those 3 words around like they do today love is sacred! well, im going on and on again so ill just post this & shut up now! ~God Bless, may his love shine on you now and for the rest of Eternity!
