what is this life?

Another yr passing, another birthday missed, anoher summer w/out you..Time hasnt healed all wounds, time has taken some of the sting out but the pain remains , hidden beneith the surface, only to rise up unanoounced, but somhow , I go on, somehow I get thru each day, I see so much pain in your Dads eyes, I feel so much pain in my heart..it just never ends..I dont think our bodies are capable of crying like before so we just hold it in until we cant anymore and explode...Wish I could wake up from this...miss you Ash so much....love you so much, you are forever in my heart....

I understand and agree...taking some sting out of the pain...but the pain is still there...and I believe forever. Can we still experience happiness and joy in the midst of this sorrow? I believe so...if not now...maybe tomorrow. Love to you and hugging you tight...Karen

I\'m so sorry for your pain especially for your hubby. It\'s so hard to see others hurting just as much as we do. It adds to our sorrow. I believe with all my heart that our kids would want us to be happy so I try to focus on that when the pain gets too intense. Love to you friend. Robin

I\'ve always thought it was a blessing that Roger is stepdad and not dad. His pain is not so intense, and I\'ve not had to look into eyes aching as I ache. But I\'ve also not had a husband to share that intensity with either. I feel for you darling. I understand your pain. All I know to do is not focus on the missed, but focus on the life. Kala\'s life is not over. She\'s still every bit Kala she was when she had a body. I believe this. I HAVE to believe this. Without this knowledge I could not survive. That\'s all I know, that\'s all I do. I talk to Kala everyday in the now. I ask her why the heck she hasn\'t come for a visit in a while. I fuss at her for not talking to me when I think too much time has passed. But what I can\'t do....not anymore...is talk about what we don\'t have. For me it takes away from what we do have. She\'s no less my daughter today, and she\'s no less a part of my life today. She\'s everywhere and in everything beautiful. Just like Ashley.

I\'m afraid this is a pain that time can never heal. You\'re right about the sting though. Thank God for that. I don\'t think I could live forever with the pain of the first day, or even the first year. Love & hugs, Colleen
