What I Know
The status line on my DS profile has been the same for more years than I bothered to count. I am not ignoring it. Every time I go to change it, I find myself concluding that I need to ponder the point further. Perhaps for longer than I have valued The Pursuit of Knowledge to be the most worthy passtime in Life. I will only need another 65 years to accomplish that task. Maybe only 65 years. Here in the first weeks of my 65th year, The Pursuit of Knowledge remains pretty high on my strictly personal spreadsheet. Still, one piece of knowledge I am increasingly aware of is that Nature demands balance in all things. Knowledge is all past tense. I cannot *Know* a thing unless it has already happened. Life is unfolding its current events at my feet while I am busy *knowing* what is unfolding on the other side of the planet. The water dribbling in from the kitchen doesnae give much thought to the knowledge which is flowing across CNN. It is all too easy to be more absorbed in that news report than the accumulating puddles of a plumbing leak. Yes, I increasingly believe that what I know really does blind me to what is at my feet, but I love accumulating knowledge enough that I am far more likely to give up smoking than The Pursuit of Knowledge.
For the past two summers, GS has been campaigning to visit the local water park. The water park sits in the middle of his favorite playground, so he has had reminders to campaign during the off seasons, as well, and campaign he has. Labor Day is the last day of water park season. He seems to have lost interest in favor of playing his PS4 on-line. Yesterday his robo-focus was intense enough to make me wonder if intervention was needed. Equally, it is only the third weekend of an intense change. Rest is needed, as well. Is the e-game focus restful? I still havenae learned how to have fun with computers, so e-zoning is a bit of a mystery to me. Computers werenae allot of fun when I started my computer career in 1973. By the time the games became easily available in the 90's, my computer work habits were developed enough that playing with hammers was mucher funner than playing with computers. When my middle aged sons fell on those available games like starving wolves, I thought of their passion as job training. Hah. Talk about what I know blinding me to what is at my feet. . . Those games seem to have caused the arrested development of an entire generation.
Dunno. . . Sorting. . . For sure, another day is dawning and the transition seems to be going well so far. We see what grows.

A water park sounds like fun …. .. Uplifting..... I often forget to have an inner child.... Big hug sweetie while you're sorting..... xo
Red Pen Alert:
Is our Inner Child optional? Perhaps you mean that you keep *neglecting your inner child.* Maybe little Jannie would like a walk in the park?
The water park conspiracy seems to have worked. It even trumped a PS4. So far. Just waiting out the hours until they open.
I would..... We can take the GK's out and have a blast..... xo

I am also in that life long learner team. Never know when it will help put another piece in the grand jigsaw puzzle of life. Waterpark may prove a wonderful reward for all. Hugs.
We need T-shirts for the knowledge club, I think. I lost track of my membership establish date but it seems an eternity ago. I’m all for give me knowledge over give me cake (or anything much else). If have book will read, lol.
Water parks sound fun and I well know the power of how it can be used to trump video/electronic/phone games. It’s one of the few things that does at that age. We went for a weekend getaway at one of the largest water parks in our state this summer but unfortunately I’m on the ban list for those kinds of in the sun activities.
Hugs and love, Arfie!
Maybe we need a lifelong learners site on DS.
Yay, im trily glad the water park won out. Hope you all, inner children included, had a great time! Triple hugs
