i just found this site and it is doing me good already. i feel for everyone else that has posted their heartbreak, it is just now, i know that i am not alone in my heartbreak.
hello kris, thanks for your inspiring words. it has pretty well done me in because of my son\'s actions. since i have read others saying as you did, i do understand, that it might actually be better for him in jail. what terrible words to have to say though... as a father or even a mother. good luck to you in your college endeavors. thanks for taking the time and thanks for your prayers. sometimes even i feel like i need them as it has taken a lot out of me. regards. surfer
Dear Surfer,
Even though deep down inside we as parents think we are to blame !! But all we have to do is look around and research ....We just play a very small part in this epidemic that is destroying everything and everyone it touches...not just the addict but the entire family unit...Parents, children, grandparents, wives, husbands, friends....everyone is affected and infected with the fallout.
yep, i blamed myself. standard procedure for a loving parent i guess. i have concluded now, that i had nothing to do with his addiction. just so sorry htat he chose to do meth and that it happened. you spoke as it is, a drug addict in the family.... touches everyone. regards.
