What else is going on?
Most of my friends here are from the Infidelity forum. I've never became involved with any other group on DS. That is, until last year.
Some of you may have noticed several months ago that I joined the Parkinson's support group. If you did notice, you might have wondered what was up. If you wondered that and looked up my posts there, you probably already know this.
Last year I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. It is a little scary in that this is a progressive disease with no cure. No telling how fast or slow it will go, or what parts of my body will become harder to control. No telling how many more years I'll be able to write novels. They say around 5 years the medication will start to lose its effectiveness.
But such is life. I suppose it means when I'm old and feeble, I'll be stuck in a wheel chair, doing who knows what.
But I thought my friends here should know that. Just so you'll know what is going on in my life. Something not even related to the infidelity issue, this time.
Thanks for your support.

Cole, I don\'t know what to say.
I admire you for having courage to share it with us. Things put to words become more real. Saying it (or writing) does not leave much room for denial or repression.....
I know I would be terrified if I was in your shoes. I hope your strong faith will guide you through this and don\'t doubt that your strength and wisdom will help you. Another book perhaps? :-)
Having said that, medicine makes huge strides in many areas. Perhaps this is one of the diseases for which a breakthrough discovery is right around the corner.....
Prayers going you way....
I\'m sorry you\'ve been handed this challamge but I believe that you will find a way to turn this into something you can work with. While being betrayed was a devastating blow, you took that and shared it with the world by writing down your experiences and your journey.
I hope you choose to do the same here. You have the ability to help others through your journey but until then, take the help and support you need. I hope that the Parkinson\'s forum has been helpful for you.
Actually, one of the ideas I have to do is write a good novel with the main character having Parkinson\'s, and donate the proceeds, whatever those are, to the Michael J. Fox Foundation that supports Parkinson\'s research.
Beyond that, I\'m not sure what else will be helpful in the way of my writing.
Thank you both for your kind words. I\'m sure God will use this for my benefit. But it has already cut my typing speed in half. So getting my writing done takes longer than it used to.
