What does this mean for my life?

On this last Saturday, while sitting in a McDonalds, I had an experience which doctors tell me is most likely vertigo. The room began to spin rapdily even as I was sitting down and I could not focus on any single option.  I ended up in the bathroom where I experienced nausea which was still present about four hours later when I tried to stand up in the emergency room.  I spent ten hours in the ER and that was four days ago.  I have seen considerable progress but I still feel a bit nausea and walking is often a struggle as I still experience the vertigo only not as severe.  I have done some online research and have learned that this is a condiiton that may not pass in a few days and may stretch out to a few weeks.  As a young boy I often suffered from double vision and I have often experienced the dizziness when standing up and moving quickly.  I have always felt this was rather commonplace but now I suspect it may have more importance in my life.

My concern at this time is that in the short time I have been on this website I seem to notice that vertigo is a condition that comes and goes.  While I feel I can handle the vertigo as this singular episode, it is unsettling to think of this as something of a lifetime challenge, particularly at at time when i have so many other dreams and aspirations.
