What do you think?

Hello SOTH - It's Monday, beginning another week and for today at this moment, I'm ok. Yesterday I saw the movie "Heaven is For Real". This is a true story of a 4 year old who went  to heaven and saw family members whom he had never met on earth & saw Jesus. Anyway it's worth seeing and if your belief is that there is a heaven, it definitely gives us hope. So in saying that - at the end of this movie there is a picture of Jesus that another girl painted and this 4 year old said "yes, that's who I saw", "that's Jesus". I got chills in the move theatre because this picture that was shown on that big screen matched a picture that my daughter & I had seen a few months prior to her death. Jennifer had said, I believe that's what Jesus looks like and I want that picture for my home. I had planned to get that picture of Jesus for her for Christmas.
I'm not sure how I feel about that - why that particular picture of Jesus when there are so many other pictures - why did she believe that looked like Jesus.....To have this little boy say yes that's Jesus....did my daughter know that too? Was it a sign that she too is okay, safe in heaven? I'm just in my own thoughts about that today.....
I was so sure that it was in fact the same picture that my daughter & I had seen that I drove by the Christian store and looked in the window and yes on that wall was that same exact picture of Jesus....my husband who thinks I'm crazy half the time, didn't know what to say.....
Thanks for listening to me ramble about my thoughts....I just wish Jennifer was here so I could share that with her instead of me remembering the moment we both stood in that store staring at the picture of Jesus.... sigh....BREATHE.

Oh, Vicki...This gives me chills!! I absolutely believe your Jennifer is with Jesus and now you have a peek into Heaven!!!

Most people think that I am crazy , half the time too. I would march into that Christian bookstore and buy that picture. It would become a link to Jennifer, in my mind.

I do believe it was Jennifer sending you a personal sign that touched you personally in the movie. A little message saying, yes, she is in Heaven, and yes she is okay. I know different signs mean different things to different people and everyone has different views and experiences with Heaven.

I read the book \"Heaven is for Real\" when Vinny was had cancer and I remembering wondering if it was real because the boy\'s father was a Preacher, because I saw an interview with the boy at age 10 who says he did not remember it when he grew up, and because his vision of Angels were with big what wings and feathers - exactly what pictures in Churches look like.

But when Vinny was very sick, and eventually dying with cancer, never being taught about Heaven or Angels before, he had his own experiences. He went to \"Heaven\" twice during MRI\'s when he was 6 and 8 year old.. and his version was Jesus wore red socks and a brown coat, and ate popcorn with him and that Angels had blue dresses that you could not really \"see\" them but could \"feel them\" even though he could perfectly describe them. And one month before he died, an Angel in a blue dress did appear in a picture behind him, and he started talking to us about signs, Heaven, visits with God, and 3 little girls trying to take him away on a train, and begging me to stop the train 2 nights before he diedHe knew he would die one year before he really did.. and at the end, he had relentless non-stop incessant talking episodes with the \"other side\" before he earned his wings and he predicted things, and promised to come back and send messages in multiple things including bird splatter and he has.. and I realized that Heaven and signs and Angels are different for everyone. Yes, the movie is real it was that version of Heaven for that little boy. While Vinny\'s account is his own personal experience, and Jennifer\'s is Jennifer\'s vision.

And my Hospice Counselor said a few days ago that after 18 years of hearing these type of stories from dying loved ones, she no longer rules anything out.

So even if your husband or others think you are crazy half the time, I believe it was Jennifer sending you a sign, for you, in her way. The people who open their minds and hearts to the signs or messages, are more likely to feel peace and see them.

We also saw the old movie \"What Dreams May Come\" with Robbin Williams several times, which is a whole new outlook on what Heaven and Angels look like. It is a great movie in the end and worth seeing as well.

I am thinking of you!

It is a heartfelt connection that is yours to treasure and to share with your Jennifer. I have no doubt she was letting you know all is well and wanting that for you too.

I read the book and plan on seeing the movie too. I am a total believer in signs and Teri (Remember Kala) and I often laugh that our children will probably agree that most were and even the ones that were not if they brought us a nano moment of peace so be it. It was for us to savor and to hold.

Loving care as you make your way one moment at a time,
XO Joanie

Her name is Akiane Kramarik. I have a canvas of this painting (reproduction) framed in my bedroom. She has a website. There was a controversy regarding this, and other paintings, by this (then) child. I think the best rendition of Jesus is most likely the result of real and serious work with the Shroud of Turin and can be found here:

I think you just did share it with her..the minute you saw it. I feel my son next to me when things like that happen. I know your Jennifer is beside you as well when these things bless us. Enjoy those moments. Love, Lauri

I read the book last year and in it was the picture to which you refer...I feel it probably looks much more like Jesus would have than the picture I\'ve grown up on (blond locks, blue eyes) since he was middle Eastern... I\'ve been contemplating getting the picture myself for my home...and I do want to see the movie.
Hugs, and I believe our Jennifers are together in heaven... with Jesus

How blessed we are to have the comfort of knowing the joy our children have now. This by no means is the way we want it, but our faith is the only peace we have. I have read this book too and the Robin Williams movie is just beautiful. Sending you peace!!!!!!!
