What did I do
This is a theme I hear over and over again from people who have just recently had the surgery and going through the pain of recovery. All I could think when hearing this is that I know I will be going through the same feelings but how could you feel that way about something that is basically helping you to feel better. Well although I haven't had the gastric bypass surgery just yet, I can say that at this point I am going through the worst pain I have ever felt. I am wondering what did I do. The radio-frequency ablation sounds so simple when you read and listen to the facts. It even sounds just fine when the medical professionals are telling you about it. But let me tell you if someone tells you they want to burn the nerve endings and there will be some discomfort they have obviously never had that done to them before. A little discomfort doesn't even begin to describe the feeling and even with pain meds I am is so much pain right now that I can barely move and just want to cry. If I could rewind history at this point I would and not get it done. But the doctor says that the pain will be there for about seven to ten days and then I should feel a lot better. So I am going to give it the time needed. I have to stay down until at least four my time tomorrow only getting up to use the restroom and then just be very careful. No heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for a week and then ease back into a routine. Usually the doctor says its twenty four hours of staying down and then ease back but he did three different places in my back. Ice packs are my friend right now along with my laptop and netflix. Its horrible pain and tomorrow I'm told is going to be worse because the numbing agent will wear off if its going to get worse tomorrow I am going to make sure to take the pain meds every four hours regardless.
