What am I to do?
In the past few years, I ran into many people I knew from my childhood. I wonder why, but I think it's maybe so I could be remembered by those as someone who could walk(without a cane). Sometimes, that does keep me from seeing people like that. I saw person upon person before I was diagnosed and symptoms really took their toll. Now, I don't want to see people from my past. I want them to remember me for who I was, not for who I am now. I am just starting to have grey hair. My great great grandfather homesteaded here 106 years ago. His daughter, my greatgrandfather's wife, was Grandma Nellie. Her husband, Grandpa Bill was diagnosed with ms in the 1940's. I think the tendency for ms came from his line. It does hurt me to think that because my two favorite people who have ever lived is his wife and his daughter, my greatgrandmother and my grandmother. I just have to remember the good times, I have had a lot of them. I don't like it, but I have to rest on my laurels.
