what a weekend.....

what a weekend!  It was really a good weekend until I got home today about 3:00 and realized something was bothering me....
Then I remembered certain comments from my friends and family that were completely harmless but I took them to heart.
Yesterday I had lunch with a great friend of mine who knew and loved my son and my husband.  So without thinking she said well what time do you have to be home?  and I said it doesn't matter....I have no one at home waiting for me.
Then I was at my sisters house this morning making breakfast for her family and she said don't you just love making big breakfast's on Sunday's?  Not thinking AGAIN I don't have a family to cook for anymore.  Last year again at this same time I had 6 people living in my HOME.  I had my husband, my 2 son's, my oldest son's girlfriend and his best friend that got kicked out of his house.  It was a noisy, wonderful house filled with love and family.  Now I come home to my 2 dogs (THANK GOODNESS FOR THEM!) and that's it.......
Just hard sometimes.  And tonight was a tough night.  Sometimes I wonder if the pain will ever go away.

Some days, some people,,,, they do not mean it but it hurts our hearts,, last week we were at our friends house and so many people talk about their kids and college, whatever and they do not realize how much that hurts,,,

The people that tell us to get over it or move on with your life are idiots but I think that the people who said the things to you were not trying to hurt but just said things they were used to saying without thinking. So in my mind there is a difference with the two. Love ya, Connie

I know that people say silly things without any malice or thought behind it... things affect us differently now. It is in those quiet moments that we miss them most. Our house used to be full of noise and laughter, and now it is so quiet. We figured out quickly that Vinny was the life of the family, and now it is too quiet without him. So I know how you feel.
I am thinking of you.

I hear you darlin.... Words hurt, even when they\'re not meant to. Sarah is right, we\'ve changed, and the way we hear things now is vastly different than before.

Tight hugs~~

I agree that most things that strike us as hurtful are not said to be hurtful but we hear and feel words differently than we did before...I know I do.
My sister said something to me that, although I have forgiven the pain they caused ( or have I?) I have not forgotten.
No, I know she wouldn\'t have purposely have tried to hurt me but the words did...

Sigh...
