What a week!

within the last week 2 of my favorite men have passed away. One was an old neighbor of mine from 2 weeks after Jerred passed for 7 years but he and his wonderful wife and I have stayed in touch. They helped those 7 years so much since Greg ( ex-husband deceased) get through many things and look out for my boys. The other I have known most of my life. His sons are all good friends of mine. I used to call him dad in my high-school years.

Last night I found out that 2 of his sons, his oldest who was best man in my wedding and his middle son who was my best friend from 8th grade until my ex ruined the friendship completely by drinking while he was working for him and borrowing money I knew nothing about. We have started rebuilding our friendship after many years of silence. They both are in the hospital with Covid.  Dave (oldest) has been in for 9 days 7 in ICU. He is now close to going home. He was in the hospital when his dad passed. Tom my buddy went in last Friday and is still in the er since the hospital is full holding his own but barely. Tom's wife Kris also has covid but not severe.

I have always believed and it has always seemed to happen to me that deaths come in 3's. I have a bad feeling that Tom is going to be number 3. My heart just hurts for this entire family. Their mom has dementia and does not even realize her husband of 50+ years is dead. She is angry at her sons for not visiting her and tries calling them. It is just so sad all the way around and heartbreaking.

My daughter-in-law Nikki who I live with, her dad also has covid and went into the hospital last night. So my family is affected also. I do not know his condition right now but they did keep him.

It's the time of year for thankfulness and I am searching through all of this and one thing I realized is all but Nikkis dad are believers and faithful to God. That truly helps me. I am also thankful for my family and that at this time we are all as healthy as we can be. I will not be able to see Jono and Aydan this weekend as Jono is working. I will talk to him though so all good there.

I know I have many blessings and I am counting them to keep happy. The biggest is Jerred is shining for me today! His spirit will get me through like he has for the last 29+ years.

To all my wonderful friends here I want to thank you for all your kind words and love you have always shown me. I hope you know and feel the love back from me. I am so thankful to have found you all. I am wishing you all a wonderful fun filled Thanksgiving from my home to yours!

OH friend, I am so very sorry for the loss of two of your dear friends. Sorry, and praying too, for those battling Covid. It does overwhelm at times, doesn't it?

Realizing and acknowledging the many things we have to be thankful for can sometimes be a challenge, yet I know there is always, always, always something to be grateful for...no matter how small or seemingly trivial.

I wish you a peaceful, LOVE filled Thanksgiving Day and to SEE Jerred all around you today and always~
