What a week... 59 days to go...

So, this week has been a bit of a roller coaster, but not necessarily in a bad way. See, Dad was approved for the bendimustine, BUT not approved for the rituximab that he would need to get before it. So, this week has been spent listening to harried rants about how he wasn't approved and about all the steps they would need to take to get approval for the rituximab.
The 1st was Canada Day, obviously, so I spent the day with my friends K and D. D wanted to go to a burger joint called 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, but K and I were tired and hungry and didn't want to walk another 10 minutes to get to food, nor did we want the supersized burger and fries that you get at 5 Guys. K and I decided to stop at Burger King (gross, but it was the closest place) and D grumpily walked his arse down to 5 Guys. All in all it was a good day. DH worked all day, so he didn't get to join in on the fun of walking from mid town all the way to down town. It took us 2 hours to do so, only because we kept stopping to look in stores and get out of the heat/sun for a bit.
Afterwards DH and I went to my parents to watch the fireworks out there. We spent all of Tuesday gardening (aka pulling weeds) in my parents front yard, making everything look spiffy. We came home Tuesday evening. Wednesday was DH's 2nd day off, so we spent it doing nothing. Well, we did run across the street to the hair place and got our hair cut. He got his trimmed, and I went from shoulder length (and thick) hair to a 'long' pixie cut. It's shorter in the back, longer up top, but still only about 2 or 3 inches long in total. My head feels lighter and MUCH cooler than it was before the cut.
We found out yesterday that Dad's finally been approved for the rituximab, so he starts chemo on Monday. His oncologist is suddenly being absolutely wonderful. When she took over for his last oncologist last year, she was a bitch. She's doing everything in her power to make sure Dad gets this chemo and doesn't get too sick from it (it's apparently reeeeally hard on the gut). But she's going on maternity leave at the end of the month (yup, there's another punch to my gut right there, even my Dad's oncologist is pregnant), so things are going to be iffy. Then again, she swore to my mother that she'd still fight for Dad while off on mat leave, so there's a good sign. Also, home care has really stepped up and are setting up all kinds of extras for Dad AND Mum, which is nice!
Today I have my last CBT group. I feel like I've come pretty far with my depression and anxiety, but I still have a long way to go to completely overcome it. There was talk at our last group about starting a new group (with the same ladies) and moving on to a more 'advanced' version of the CBT we've been doing. Hopefully our group leader came up with something, as all of us were in favour of it.
Countdown time: 59 days til we move and I've got insurance updated, power hook up scheduled and the Uhaul booked. We've got a TON of boxes (DH's assistant brought them over Tuesday eve, since he just finished unpacking his new place). I've got 13 boxes packed and ready to go. I'll slowly pack up more over the next few weeks. I'm hoping to have 99% of our stuff packed by the week before we move, so we only have to pack a weeks worth of items the night before we move. Also, the day before we move is my mother's birthday, so that'll be a lot of fun. Two days after we move I start college again, and exactly one week after we move is my nephew's birthday. We chose a fine time to move... Oy! Oh well, we'll be in our new place for just over a month when my birthday rolls around, so I'll be settled and HAPPY for once (despite turning 30!)
And to end this novel, some IF related news. It's CD 14, and so far I've only missed 2 days of taking my basal temp. I'm late on doing the LH tests, but I'm starting them today (so much has been going on that I forgot). I need to call my RE's office and discuss with the nurse my next steps, since I don't have any more refills of Letrozole, and this will be the 3rd cycle of it. I'm not sure what my RE's plans are for me, since we didn't really discuss them at my last visit.
Oh, and some sort of funny news: My paternal Grandmother is in a nursing home (she's 93 and suffering from dementia, she's also my only living grandparent), she's been fairly complacent with the staff thus far. Well, on Sunday she decided to fight them when they came to bathe her. They think she broke her wrist, but she's trying to eat with that hand, so it may only be sprained/fractured. But she's a stubborn lady, even when she doesn't know who she is or where she is. She also thinks her eldest daughter is her mother, which causes some giggles.
Happy 4th to all of you in the US and I hope everyone has a great day!
