What a week!
I have been neglecting journaling for awhile, I should say not being consistent. I was thinking about making positive choices and building new Good Habits and what I needed to commit to. Well this week I managed to work out everyday (5) for an hour at the gym. I know that this was supposed to be a part of th GBSlifestyle change. I admit I hate exercise and the thought makes me cringe. So i decided to give myself a goal and see what happens. I made my self commit to two months of exercise five days a week six if I can get my hubby up on Saturday. So I foun d out this morning there are a few thing I enjoy about working out. One it is y own little world. I can listen to my favorite songs and walk 35 minutes no problem. Yeah for 4.o incline and 3.6 speed. I actually walked 1.75 miles. I would have never thought that 10 months ago. I guess I see progress from the un-scale side. I am enjoying sweating, even though I may not like the exercise idea yet. In addition to my new found challenge, I also contracted a Personal trainer (Max) for once a month meeting. I would love to do more than that but finances dictate. I am looking at this positively though, he has told me what to do and on which days. So now I want to make progress before our next meeting. It is wierd to feel this type of driven desire. I confided in Max that I wanted exercise to become a passion not a chore. He promised me that in two months I will probably be looking for reasons not to continue. I guess it is the valley between the hills of victory. Of course I believe him and took this as a challenge to succeed. I have been doing a lot of thinking since summer vacation has started and I'm not working. For the first two weeks I was a couch potato and gained then lost. What a wake up call. so here's to 7 more weeks to see my un-scale goal.
