What a horrible week!

I'll write more about my personal thoughts later (maybe tonight)...but I'd love to hear how my friends are doing with this disaster. Have you stopped spending?

Haven\'t been spending for some time; living on unemployment has been tough. Jobs are in short supply, companies down-sizing, positions being shifted overseas. Working as a contract employee to help move jobs to India and employment is precarious at best. Am thankful I still have a roof, food and utilities; hoping to keep my home but will survive if I don\'t .. just won\'t be happy about it. (((Hugs))) always .. Ranae

I haven\'t been able to work for almost 3 years (because of fibro). When we moved from the Kansas City area to this little town in S.E. Kansas, my husband cut WAY back as far as job (from being a purchasing manager of a large K.C. company to working 3 hours a day as a janitor). We know that God brought us here....and part of that was because Brian was to have 3 heart procedures in the past year. The stress in K.C. would have killed him (he now has 8 stents in his heart). He will officially retire (at age 62) this month...but the SS checks don\'t start until Dec. He went from making almost 100 thousand a year to about 36 thousand. We only will get that much because of his Navy retirement (he was in 23 yrs). Believe me...we went from going out alot (and eating steak) to eating at home (and eating alot of spagetti!). God has been very good to us...and we are gonna make it...but life sure has changed! I pray that everyone gets their debts paid down and watch all spending. About a year ago our pastor told us that the Lord had laid it on his heart to tell the people to begin to pay off their debts and get right with God....as this was just the beginning. Now, a year later....it has come to pass........
