what a difference a day or a year makes!
Well I've just had my 1st ct scan results since finishing chemo, and all clear. Yeahh. Its hard to believe the 16th Feb last year was my 45th birthday, it was a perfect day lovely cards nice gifts, hubby sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers to work, went out for dinner with family, life is great.
The day after 17th feb the docs told me I had colon cancer would need surgery asap may need a stoma and may need chemo, my life turned upside down.
Within 3 months had op, tablets for this tablets for that, started chemo, on a cancer trial, with extra cancer drugs, creams, mouthwashes, vitamins, and felt so ill.
Today 23rd Feb, 1 year later getting strength back and returned to work, life looking great again.
Just helping my friend arrange a celebration evening, for her son James who died last year aged 26yrs (same birthday as me) also of cancer, hoping to raise much money for cancer research uk and macmillan cancer support. Puts life in perspective.
Because together we will beat cancer
