What A Difference A Day Makes

Yesterday was sort of a cluster-fuck... but it could have been worse. There were several things that needed to be brought up to code at the old homestead, and we are officially working on them. I was super stressed about it yesterday, and I'm still not thrilled about it today... but I'm thankful.

I'm thankful the list of things to fix wasn't longer.

I'm thankful the radon test came back with good results.

I'm thankful the handyman can fix a good 80% of it and has already made significant progress. He dropped everything to get there and start working for me. He's my hero!

I'm thankful the plumber is coming out today to take care of a hot water line issue.

I'm thankful my real estate agent is good at hand-holding and is being very gentle with me and my emotions.

I'm thankful for the continued support and understanding of family and friends.

And, I am thankful my rosacea hasn't flared from all this stess and upset.

Yesterday I had a hard time feeling thankful for anything. Today, after a good night's sleep and much reflection, I'm feeling a bit better.

I take you are moving. I know how stressful that is and you seem to have everything under control. I've moved thru six states and a lot more houses. You have to have the ability to laugh as you take care of unexpected happenings.

Do you have any nibbles on your house yet?

Yep. We are moving ... and we are currently under contract. Our close date is 4/27. It is indeed stressful. We've lived at our homestead for 13 years, and are now being relocated for my husband's work. I look forward to finishing up here and starting the new life in Georgia. :)

The plumbing today was a bit more than bargained for originally, but it seems to have all worked out, too. My fingers are crossed...

LOL! The hubby isn't a handy guy for home repair. He's a computer programmer/analyst. He's amazing at tech stuff but not so good with carpentry. I'm currently living in St. Louis and planning a move to Georgia... so definitely headed south. Thank you so much for all your kindness and support, apache! (((HUGS)))
