what a difference a day makes......

He relapsed.  We ended up in the emergency room and return home until 5AM.  Thankfully he's okay.  He ingested mushrooms and had a bad reaction to them.  Mushrooms don't show up in any testing -- which is why he took these, I'm guessing.  They hooked him up to an IV and gave him oxygen.  He was noticeably high when he walked in the door last night.  I had a strange feeling something might have been up since he wasn't answering our phone calls.  Husband is more dismissive about these things whereas I (call it a mother's intuition) am more suspicious than he is.  Sure enough....... All I can say is.....my hubby better make sure a consequence is followed through.  Since T was late for curfew the night before he should have been grounded for two days.  If he had, he wouldn't have gone out and used.  Hubby learned a lesson, too. The good news is......he didn't deny he was high AND he was open and apologetic for slipping.  And he leaned on us for support and comfort.  I told him that he will get through this.....reminding him of some of the AA sayings.

Glad to hear he is OK!!!!! Something to consider, was he apologetic for slipping or getting caught? I don\'t think the curfew issue matters, he would have used sooner or later, given what you have written. Perhaps the sooner was better given the adverse effects?! I hope you have a chance to rest up. Take Care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
