What a difference a day makes

I looked at the calendar today, and I realized that in 11 days Johnny will have been gone for 3 months.  It doesn't help that yesterday my son and daughter in law celebrated their 4th anniversary and my beautiful sister has her first anniversary today.
It's been forever, and then it's just been a day.  I wake up praying each day that this is a bad nightmare, I tell myself daily that I'm going to live with no fear and no regrets cause I know that what Johnny would want.  But at night when I get home, reality hits.  I won't ever see him sitting on that porch, I won't walk into the kitchen and have dinner started.  And so it goes
I read your post, I cry, I laugh and I remember daily that I loved him and he loved me.  To know that warms an empty space inside because we did love when so many to play romance.
I walk out in the mornings to let Kenzie out and while she runs and plays and does her business I watch the sky and I think of you.  I blow a kiss to to heaven just to say good morning.
A day is like a minute in God's eyes, or at least a thousand years, yet all these days have past for me missing you.
One day I'm good, then next day I'm not and so it goes on and on and on.
What a difference a day makes, but what an impact our love made.  We left behind a legacy for our children to look up too, for our nieces and nephews who say "I want a love like what Aunt Debbie and Uncle Johnny had."
I want that too, again when we are joined in heaven.  Until then I'll wait for that one day.

Debbie, how true your words are. Life does go on though as you have been reminded. It\'s unfair that a love so true had to end when others so unappreciative linger on for years. But...Just think of that legacy that you have given your children, nieces and nephews of what true love really looks like. Hopefully they will now know what to look for and be blessed with what so few truly have...unconditional love. You had it and were very lucky to have known it. That however makes it that much harder to live without. Just remember that he will always be with you. Love never dies and you will be together again. Live life now to the fullest so that he can see it through your eyes.
Love to you today and always!

I totally agree with Darcie. This journey is truly agonizing, but we must go on no matter how hard that is. I know the hurt and missing will always be there, but with time I hope it\'s less painful! Hugs and Love, Michele
