Went to visit a friend
Yesterday, I went to visit a friend, who had coded and was sent by airlift to a hospital to their ICU, about 100 miles from where I live. I have known him since he was a kid. He has had bad lungs for years and I have visited his home as well as visiting him in the local hospitals when he has been there, over the past 3 or 4 years. Each time I visited him in the hospital, I would ask him about his soul's condition and where he stood with the Lord. He never would ever admit to needing the Lord.
This time, he was in ICU. He was on a breathing tube, needles everywhere and I went to his bedside and I told him I was there and I told him not to try to talk, just to nod yes or no, if he could hear me. He shook his head yes. I talked to him about out friendship over 50 years and that I was sorry he was in the shape he was in. I told him that I was there to, once again talk to him about eternity and he nodded his head yes. I asked him if he wanted me to talk to him about Jesus, salvation and eternity and, he nodded his head yes.
I explained that we are all sinners and that we can not save ourselves. I told him that Jesus came and gave His life, that we can have forgiveness of our sin and have a home in Heaven when this life here on earth ends, I ask him if he understood and he nodded his head yes. I then asked him if he would pray with me and ask the Lord to forgive him and to save him for all eternity and he nodded yes. I then told him to pray with me, (say the words from his heart by thinking of them in his mind) due to the breathing tube in his throat. He nodded his head yes. I went through the plan of salvation and the sinners prayer with him. After I finished, I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes. I asked him if he prayed with me and he nodded his head yes. I spoke with his wife and his sister and then, we were informed his brother was there and that some of us had to leave the room due to the restriction of visitors. I walked up to his bed and told him I would see him later. I told him that maybe he could not attend a church or get baptized but, he could be like the old thief on the cross. He could go be with Jesus when this life ended here on earth and he smiled and nodded his head yes.
The following is absolutely Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prior to my arrival, the Doctors had said that if they would remove the breathing tube, he would not survive. I arrived back home around 4 pm and logged on to Facebook. His wife had just posted that the Doctors had removed the breathing tube and that he was breathing on his own. At 8 pm, I got a phone call from his wife and she said he was setting up in bed, talking and, joking. Today, she posted that he had been moved out of ICU and that he was setting up, eating. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
His son is enroute from Afghanistan and should be here by tomorrow or Thursday,

What wonderful news.....and also the fact that he is recovering...Salvation is the most important. Please pray for a man named Lowell Kelly...he has a severe head injury from a fall....he is a friend of my husband and has been in a coma since before Christmas...he seems to be able to hear us by his movements and he squeezes our hands....I have been very concerned about his spiritual needs because we do not know him on that level....he is 60 yrs old. Your post has given me some hope that we can still witness and be assured of his eternal state. Thank you...I hope the best for your friend....IN Christ...dale, brandon\'s mom

JUST SO WONDERFUL. YOU MUST BE BLESSED RIGHT OUT OF YOUR SOCKS PEEWEE. SEEING GOD\'S HANDIWORK IS JUST MIND BLOWING. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU , THIS FAMILY AND THE SON ON HIS WAY HOME.

THIS IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL. IT ALWAYS AMAZES ME HOW GOD ALWAYS PUTS YOU WHERE HE WANTS YOU AT THE RIGHT TIME SO THAT THRU YOU....ANOTHER SOUL IS SAVED. AND NOW LOOK AT THE NEXT MIRACLE THAT THE LORD DID WITH THIS MAN. GOD IS SO VERY AMAZING AND WONDERFUL.
