Went to the ER today

They sent me to the ER today because I went to the clinic and I said I was having chest pains. They say it's costochondritis, where the cartilage between your ribs over your heart gets inflamed. I might have some sort of virus causing it. I was reading on Web Md that it's a common cause of chest pain in young adults. It wasn't fun, but at least I got my heart checked out. The doctor at the clinic said that all the tests should be covered under my Medicaid, so we will see. They sent me home with a prescription for Motrin and that's it. They don't know if it's a virus for sure that is causing it, so they don't want to give me anything that I don't need. I spent a lot of time in the ER, but I had my own room and just lay there and watched TV.
I was feeling anxious today. I didn't take my pills in the morning because I forgot them, and I was almost at work feeling like crap walking when I remembered I hadn't taken them. I decided to just go on and get checked out at the doctor, thinking it was going to be something short. When they took my blood pressure it was 184/144 which is sky high. I don't know what caused it to be that high, I was sitting for a while when they took it, but that's what it was. That's what started me going off to the ER. They wanted to make sure I was okay. I had to wait over an hour for the ambulance, and then a couple hours in the ER for test results. I just felt like I spent the whole day on edge waiting to see what was wrong.
I'm very tired today. I got 11 hours sleep last night, but I just didn't feel good. I still don't feel good, which is why this journal is going to be short. I'm not feeling as depressed as I was yesterday, but I'm not feeling much of anything but tired so who knows. I will have to wait until tomorrow to see how I feel and what's really going on. I'm going to take it easy on my exercise for the next couple of days just to give my chest time to heal. I'm all full of holes anyway from where they put the IV and took blood, so I don't want anything popping.
Food was okay today... I had cereal for breakfast, pasta for lunch and chicken for dinner. In the ER I had a sandwich, some milk and apple juice. I got most of my calories in for the day, and I weighed myself and I was down in weight from the last time, down to 242.0. Now I'm just half a pound away from the low. Slowly but surely I'm making progress. Stress was high today, mood was unsure, and sleep wasn't that good either.
