Went to pick out Wyatts memorial stone today

Today was like living over the day that the dr. told me that Wyatt had no heardbeat. I was Horrible going to the monument place and having to pick out the stone for where your child is buried for ever.  I couldnt stop crying . I couldnt even tell the man what I wanted on it. I want a little boy fishing because he wouldhave been doing that with his daddy.  But the cemetery where he is at wont allow anything that is not angelic. So we are trying to have a artist draw some thing up to see if they would allow that on his stone, I just dont want flowers or a lamb. our little boy would have been fishing with his daddy and I just want to represent that. I really hope they let us.    So that left me very emotional all day and the fact that we should not be doing this at all we should be holding him in our arms and giving him kisses. I just couldnt pull it together.

I\'m sorry you had to go through that. I will have to do that too and I dont look forward to it. Each step is so hard and just brings the sorrow up all over again. I imagine Wyatt is fishing in Heaven. Scripture says that when Jesus came back after the resurrection, he ate fish so I believe there is feasting in Heaven and the Lord likes fish! Wyatt is probably helping him. I really hope you will find something that memorializes your son, dont compromise..love Michelle

I am so sorry. I hope they will allow you the picture you want. I would want something really special too. Days like that are so hard and they do bring you right back to the moment you found out and you do relive the nightmare all over again. I still have that on occasion although its not as overwhelming as it was in the begining. It has been over 1yr and 1/2. But the feeling of doing something so awful while your mind is yelling this isnt right and we should be holding and kissing our baby not doing this and buying this stone is just too much. I remember going out to buy an angel for our memorial with my husband and I couldnt stop crying I was thinking the whole time just how sad and wrong it all was. I pray you get the pictre with with little boy fishing. Love and hugs,Kate

What a horribly unnatural thing for a parent to have to do. I am so sorry you had to face that today. I remember so clearly when I had to do that last year. It was awful. The woman came up to us and asked us how she could help us and I said \"We need a gravestone for our daughter\" and then I heard my words echo in my head and it made me sick. I had to leave, I sat on the grass by the parking lot and cried so hard while Richy stayed inside and worked out most of the details. It was awful, just heart wrenchingly awful. I am so sorry you have do this, I wish nobody ever had to. I\'m thinking of you and your little fisherman, your sweet baby Wyatt.

I am sorry you don\'t have your son in your arms to hold and give kisses too. I am sorry the cemetery is not allowing you to put the drawing of a boy fishing on his stone. I think that is very unfair! It is your loved one not theirs!! Sorry you are having to go through this. Hugs.
