Well thats the end of this TX for me ...8 wk Viral load has not really changed from 4 week so the Doc decided no point in carrying on any more It will just come right back ...so now I wait till Canada health decides to cover Solvaldi for me so I get the summer to recover from INF/Riba But it sucks ...seems like for 3a's respond well to Solvaldi/riba/Inf so when it is approved for 3's I will get the solvaldi but with the two rotten meds Ive already been on . He says that at the conference 3's respond well 98%to the triple combo without the relapse .It is only 12 weeks tho ... the wonder combo drug will not be approved for 3s well into 2015 or later at least but sooner for 1's . Dont get that if Inf didnt work this time why I have to take it again solvaldi makes it work better ...not so sure about this !! any one any experience or knowledge of this ....The doc and nurse seem so knowledgable and are convinced this is the best for me I have he summer to research Guess I will not sure if Im happy or sad

I feel your pain 6 months of hell then relaspe. Than 4 year wait for the new stuff. Hang in there hon the new stuff will be here soon. I\'m sad for you peace.
I am so sorry, Jan! Frustrating, to say the least! Infuriating might be more like it, I\'d say! Sovaldi does seem to be a magic bullet, though I have not seen any test results on GT 3\'s, have you? Have you posted tghis on the boards? Maybe - hopefully - someone has seen some research on GT 3 and Sovaldi.
yes I looked ...There is a large group of people doing or just finishing triple ..I hate the Idea of INF again but at least its over at 12 weeks ..results in 3\'s are 98%with Solvaldi added so far ....sounds better to me than 54% on this standard of care that I just failed will have the summer to relax and get a bit better Doc doesn\'t want me to wait for the sol/lev single pill ...too long till funding comes thru for GT 3\'sat least 18-24 mnths..... Solvaldi should be approved for GT 3\'s with stage 4 cirrohsis and previous failed TX by the end of the summer and 12 wks at 98% success sounds pretty good If I have to do Inf again !! thanks for the concern ..You guys should all be undies by then LOL Kick that Dragon hard for me !!!!!
been there done that 2 interferon\'s 24 and 48 wks.2004/2010...both killers.....failures...nonresponder...treated 2011 abbott 24 wk all oral trial..cured almost 2 yrs.....feel better....but still beat up.....lol,,,,hang in there.....ull get there...marilyn being healed now./...all these yrs ive known her....cause of transplant no interferon so she had to wait....but shes there..ive been here since 2010.....was everyday...lots of newbies.......txs different...all orals no sides....halluluja..
thats great Dillytime glad its svr for you!!!!!! hopefully that Solvaldi gets funded soon in Canada for gt3\'s with stage 4 compensated liver . would love todo all oral ..but dr\'s dont want to wait too long ..its not even aproved in Canada yetand then it will be for gt1\'s only dont get why we 3\'sare so ignored My doc gets most of his info from Australia and India wheree gt 3 is the main type ..not too many of us in Canada but we seem to relapse on the standard tx or dont respond at all!!
Oh dear it just ticks me off that you\'ve gone through all this, have cirrhosis, and still that *#%^ dragon lives on! Not fair. Guess being a 3 is a tough one. i\'m treating again, just taking it \"4 weeks at a time\" because if not undie @ 4weeks, it is not working. Mixed bag, isn\'t it? Glad to be off the poison but disappointing the combo hasn\'t been ordered for you yet. Yet!
