Well, I tried...
Since the heat was so intolerable today, I stayed inside in the AC and resolved to have a quiet day. I should know by now not to resolve anything. Again a minor "emergency" popped up in the house. This evening I heard my wife and daughter hooping and hollering downstairs. When I went downstaiirs to investigate, it seems a small bird had gotten into the house. It was in a panic and was swooping down from the curtains toward the door and back, often pounding itself against the walls in the process. The ladies were also a litttle panicky and even the cat headed for the basement. (some hunter!)I opened the patio door and also the door to the deck and tried to guide the bird outside. It took several tries (those rascals are fast!) but I finally succeeded. By then I was huffing and puffing and coughing to beat the band. I used the good ol' neb and now ,45 minutes later, I'm as good as new...or at least as good as I was 2 hours ago. Don't know how many more times I can be the big game hunter but, at least for tonight, I have prevailed. If I were more primieval, I would go out on the deck and pound my chest and roar my challenge to anyone who would even think to invade my territory...but my chest hurts and I don't have a roar left in me. So I'll content myself with being an arm chair Tarzan. Be well,Tom p.s. 12 more days and I'm off the pred...but whose counting?Tom p.p.s. Spoke too soon. PF back in the YZ. Action plan time.Darn asthma...darn bird...DARN IT!Tom
