well...at least i've accomplished something
so...i'm still working from tuesday's (?) to do list...not so good. but today i did laundry for the first time in what seems like months. yeah, i know it's bad, i wear the same sets of pyjama's over and over--i have about 20 pairs of sleep pants, and nearly as many black tees. you know what they say about black socks? (they never get dirty, the longer you wear them the blacker they get) well, it's true of tees too. so when they get grungy i just throw on a new one and go about my day (or go back to bed). i really don't dress unless i'm going out or when i was going to class. and my solution to clean knickers? buy new ones. so today as i folded laundry (yes, i not only washed but i folded too! yay me!!) and realised i had a vertiable mountain of undergarments. i thought it was funny, but really i should just wash more instead of buying new when the drawer is empty. i washed the linen too, which was gross (perhaps i should consider not smoking in bed, there were ashes everywhere), and my mother would be appalled at the state of my sheets, but hey, at least they're clean now. so all i have to do is muster the will to put them on the bed. eh...will? energy? what are those strange words, what do they mean? still, i guess i'm getting there and i've decided that tomorrow, nerves or no nerves i'm going to email my professors and have done with it. i've been really good about my meds too, i'm going on day 4 or maybe 5 of not skipping out on them, though i nearly gagged up the metformin this morning. i really hate those. i wish they'd make a patch or put it in a vial i could inject. they always upset my stomach. speaking of meds, i started taking my lamictal at night and i think it's been causing me to have really vivid, realistic dreams, that and if i get up in the night i stumble around a lot before i get my feet solid under me. i wonder if it's supposed to do that--make you really uncoordinated. i know i must look like a drunken sailor; i crashed into a bookshelf last night, and nearly tumbled over my school satchel. i guess this is an indicator that i **really** need to straighten my room out. at least my moods are getting to be more stable though. i'm glad about that, though i wouldn't mind a slightly manic (hence productive) couple of days. and biggest accomplishment of all today--i went grocery shopping! this is a really big deal for me because i get frantic around too many people and i shopped on a sunday at the biggest grocery in town. okay, so i didn't exactly stick to my list, but i got the essentials and got out before the anxiety took over. not bad for a day's work.
