Well at least I tried

I decided to drop one of my classes, the proctoring requirement for the midterm and final would both fall during our IVF cycle and it would be hard to schedule an exam for next month when I have no idea when I will be home and when I will be in San Diego. At least I dropped it before the 20% date so the VA will get a full refund, or apply it to my fall classes. I am out the money for renting the text book, but at this point I don't really care, I am just going to focus on completing my legal class and I'll take anthropology later when we are moved and settled in Vegas.
It is looking more and more like we will be moving into base housing when we get to Vegas, which feels like a step down after being a homeowner. But I have to look at it this way, we can move right in whether we have sold our house or not, and if we find a house we want and close escrow, we can break our lease for only $250.00. This would also give me more time to secure employment and then we can include my income when we buy a house. Talking to our agent in Vegas, she also suggests moving to base housing first, just to get in the area and then we can really begin shopping. This will also open up more inventory for us to chose from. Because we are looking at a short notice move we can't waste time making offers on short sales (which is only short on the amount owed vs selling price and in no way refers to time it takes to close escrow on one), which leaves us looking at a sum and total of 2 houses to choose from.
Hmm, I am done whining now, maybe. I just have a lot going through my head and with both my husband and best friend (and neighbor around the corner) gone I am left to my own devices and that is never a good thing. Especially when I am hormonal, yeah the doctor took me off my BC for a month and I've been taking seasonal BC so that I only have 1 every three months and my body is pissed (as evidenced by the cramps and clotting, sorry TMI). On the bright side I get to start a new pack tonight and hopefully it will kick in quickly and make this pain and bloating go away.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed the weekend. Not to mention making it through the tri-fecta of Friday the 13th, the strawberry full moon and (for most people) payday.
