Well, at least I know...
I am not making this up. The pain is not all in my head. It is all over my body, and my head does ache, but it is real. I have fibromyalgia.
I am glad to know. I can by the diagnosis on accident. I went to the doc for sore ears and bad back pain and she noticed I was sore and tender in several other spots. I mentioned I had trouble swallowing and could not sleep because of joint and muscle pain. Since she was not my regular doc, she suggested talking to my pcm about fibromyalgia. That was was week. Today, I had the follow-up and the doctor checked pressure points and confirmed the diagnosis.
I will be starting medicine tomorrow for management of the chronic pain, and start an exercise program as well. We are going to join the Y so I can do water stuff that won't hurt me. I am going to revamp my eating to try to lose some weight too.
But I am scared. This is big. I already have my big thing to deal with...having bipolar. What if I just can't deal with it?
Also, this is going to change a lot of things. Eventually, we are going to have to move some place warmer. Winter hurts me badly. And how will this affect my plans to be a counselor? I have more questions than answers right now.
My hubby is very supportive. This explains a lot for both of us, and I am sure if he learns more, things will get easier for both of us.
So, wish me luck on my new journey!

Best of luck of course!! Try to just take it as it comes. Overthinking everything at once can just add so much stress and that can\'t be good for your body.
I\'m glad you have a supportive husband and the two of you together will figure it all out.
Best to you!! xo
