Weight Loss journey

So yesterday I didn't update. I was feeling low and self absorbed in my thoughts. I found out that my cousin died unexpectedly in an accident overseas. The funeral is today and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and my entire extended family today.
I talked to my Dad and he said that we must continue living and go about our daily lives... death makes us appreciate what we have around us.... I like that.
So here goes.
Sept 26: I stepped on the scale and was the same weight. I am still at 159.0 lbs. I guess I can't expect to lose weight everyday, can I? I was on such a roll and I was getting hooked! I know it's only been a day and I really am glad that that I stayed the same and didn't gain!
I spent most of the day cleaning the rest of my house. Finally, I have a clean house and a pretty garden at the same time. I can't believe that a few days neglect would result in many hours of scrubbing, vacuuming etc. I don't want to fall in that rut again!
Sept 27: I almost fell off the scale! I had to rub my eyes and check it again. I dropped 1.5 lbs! I was stunned and stood on the scale for a long time just to see if the numbers would jump around. In disbelief, I started over, rubbed my eyes again (got the sleep out of the nooks and crannies) and stepped back on. Yup! I lost 1.5 lbs overnight! That's the most I've lost in one day! Victory #3!
Now I am super pumped. My goal is getting closer and closer!
Starting weight:163.0
Current weight: 157.5
Goal: 140
Down: 5.5
17.5 lbs to go!
Today I'm going to focus on cleaning my closet and getting rid of old, tired, worn out clothes and organizing my stuff. All the while I do this, I will think of my cousin and the great times we've shared when I visited him a handful of times in my life.
