Weight Loss journey
October 9; It's a sad, sad day. I went up 3 lbs! OMG!! Thanks a lot 'Mr. Turkey.' Well... to be honest, I can't really blame the turkey. You see, I did't eat much of it. Nope. I ate ALL the fixings that went with it. I couldn't help myself. It was so good and I only do this once a year!
Ummm. I have to be honest here. I don't think it was the two turkey dinners that did me in. It started on Friday when I had company come over for a couple of days. Everything I was doing up to that point went out the window. Nothing even clicked as to my portion sizes. This continued into the weekend. I don't know what happened. I was too busy being a good hostess that I was looking after their needs and then just gulping down food to feed myself. It's sad, I know. I can't believe I didn't even check what I was eating and how much.
I stepped on the scale and was floored to see 159.0 lbs! I tried my best to eat well all day but, somehow, I kept thinking that I already blew it so maybe I could have a treat today. I was craving a chocolate bar and I bought it and I ate it. No guilt... pure pleasure. I actually don't usually crave sweet things. Hmmm.
I think my weight gain is obviously due to my inappropriate eating since Friday but, I also think it's water retention. I hope it's water retention.
I let myself have a treat for one more day. That's it. I know better and I want that weight back down to 156.0 lbs soon. That is my mini goal. Hopefully I can get there soon and then continue on my journey. I was doing so well. Oh well. These things happen. What can I do about it now? If I wasn't so hectic with company coming over and hosting them, I know I would have had a better outcome with the Thanksgiving dinners.
Current weight: 159.0
Weight on Friday: 156.0
Went up; 3.0
