Weight Loss Day ???

OMG...really I just had a whole journal typed and lost it! That's just the beginning of how my last few weeks have made me feel. I have not been counting points, calories or exercising. I have have had several "bummer" moments or what have made me feel like "bummer" moments.
1-My friends wedding. Hair, nails, tan done...dress tighter than I would have liked felt fat and ugly! Bummer
2-Shopping for my niece she is expecting her first baby in Nov. I walk in the store and there are these adorable dresses on sale (for women~all baby stuff is cute). My thought I would love one, but I'm too fat! Kept on walking spent way to much money on baby stuff, not a cute dress for me. Bummer
3-Seriously my husbands ex from 18years ago shows up at the baby shower for my niece because she is still friends with my sis-in-law (I'm really okay with that). However, she still looks like she did 18 years ago!!! Me not so much, I feel so insecure, fat and miserable! :-( BUMMER for me!
So when I'm down on myself what do I do? Eat...grrrr. Today I've decided to self "Kim, it's up to you. Get back to your journal...you'll do it" I heard something the other day that I can't get out of my head. "losing weight is easy, eat less, move more" Really??? Wish I could just do it. Today is a new day, moving forward lets see how it goes.
(((hugs))) Kimby

Or you could focus on the \'standby\'

NOTHING tastes as good as THIN feels!!!

I\'m learning self hypnosis to help me with stress related issues that \'trigger\' unwanted responses such as grabbing food for \'comfort\', etc.

We all need to take a \'break\' and when we are ready to proceed we get on with it.

Don\'t beat yourself up and remember all the hard work you put into all the good days you kept having. Grab your determination and get back to the task at hand.

((hugs)) of support.

Try not to feel bad about losing your journal entry, Kimby. I\'ve had the same thing happen 2-3 times lately...once with my journal and TWICE when responding to someone on the obesity forum. It\'s gotten to the point where I copy my journal or response before I try to submit it, so at least if it doesn\'t post, I won\'t lose everything I wrote.

I\'m working very hard on my emotional eating, so I absolutely understand your struggle with this. I almost blew it yesterday when I learned that we had missed a going away party thrown by friends of my family that I would have liked to have been invited to. I felt slighted and overlooked, and the first thing I wanted to do was eat. Instead, I drank an ice cold glass of water, because I knew eating wasn\'t going to fix what I was upset about.

Don\'t worry about your hubby\'s ex not seeming to age in 18 years. Maybe it\'s all spackle, you know? Plus, some people just age slowly than others. Just concentrate on you.

Just work every day on making every single day on your weight loss journey count. One day, you\'ll look in the mirror and like what you see.

I don\'t know where you heard the \"...losing weight is easy...\" thing. If it was that easy, obesity wouldn\'t be such an issue in the US. And, we\'re getting bigger as a country with every passing year. You can do it though, I know that for sure, because if I can do it, ANYBODY can do it. It\'s absolutely not easy though.

Hugs,
Janice
