Weigh In...

OMGosh I am feeling disappointed in myself.  I know I've faced many challenges in the past year, but DAMN I have gained about 40 lbs or more in the past year.  I really gained the most between Christmas and Easter, but honest to goodness... How can it have happened again?  How can I be at this weight again???
I was going to change my pic on facebook to a Halloween pic and so I looked at pics from last year and gasped in horror.  I was so much thinner then and I think why have I not been able to get and STAY on my weight loss/low-carb eating plan???

I know in my heart that food truly is one of the most influential things we do to our bodies.  The daily ingestion of nutrients and calories in an effort to keep us alive has turned into so much more.  I am completely addicted to sugar and find that I crave the high sugar, low-nutrient crap with a vengeance.  It goes against my KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE that I will feel better physically if I eat better.  But eating better requires planning and execution.  I am not doing so well in either of those areas.  In fact, I'm failing in both.
I do better with a structured schedule.  Not that I want my day forced into a rigid schedule but when the kids are going to school at a specific time, requiring me to be going places at specific times, then I will accomplish activities.  When it's just up to me, I fail.  I just want to take the easy road, the less painful road, the path of least resistance.
The only way to get stronger is to face the resistance and push a little harder.
So, today was a reminder that in fact I can lose weight and that I've not always felt like this.
Time to go. Another therapist is here for my son.  See, no rest for the wicked... even the "overweight-obese" wicked witch of the West!
