Weekend update

So back to work after the long holiday weekend (and time to reflect back at how I got through the BFN).  The long 4th of July weekend was supposed to be busy with a friend's party, spending time with family, two cardinals baseball games, soccer game and the John Mayer concert.  When I got the BFN I didn't want to do ANY of it.  My DH tried to convince me otherwise, but I just wanted to mope.  So, on the 4th, I cancelled my friend's party and spending time with my family.  DH and I went to the pool for some sun and relaxation and then took it easy the rest of the day.  This was the first year I didn't see fireworks - wasn't feeling up for it.  On Friday I actually got in a few hours of work, then got a good workout in before cancelling on the first Cardinals game.  My sister went with my DH in my place.  This was good because I was finally starting to feel better.
I'm glad I was finally starting to feel better because I went to the baseball game Saturday with a friend, played soccer on Sunday morning and then went to John Mayer last night with my DH.  I was feeling better, but that doesn't mean I didn't have any breakdown moments, like how we were seated next to a pregnant lady at the concert and how at the game, there were multiple kids around.
I'm really looking forward to our appointment on Wednesday.  I really want to hear our RE's take on everything and what the next steps are.  I just want to move on with another FET asap, but I'm sure he is going to want to do more testing and maybe a laparoscopy, which is probably the better route because we are 100% OOP and really need this to work because I don't know if we want to do another IVF.  The only problem is that I just started a new job 3 weeks ago and don't feel right taking off any days so soon.  I still have to have that talk with my boss (poor guy) telling him the overall picture  -seeing a fertility specialist and might have time-sensitive apointments that I will have to make, but will make up the time by working late, etc..  Can't wait to scare him with that! My last employer was very good about it all.
I'll update on Wednesday after my appointment!

Glad to hear you took care of yourself and didn\'t force yourself to put a game face on. It\'s good to give yourself a break, and do the things that will build you back up. This journey is so draining, crossing my fingers toes and tattas that your next step will get you your BFP.

Glad you are feeling better. It\'s always a bummer to see the pregnant women and small children all the time. I used to swear that karma hated me because every time I\'d go out, I\'d be surrounded by pregnant women and babies.

I hope all goes well with your appointment on Wednesday! Good luck!

Good for you for not forcing yourself to do social stuff you were not ready to do! It took me a long time to be able to do that for myself, now I have no problem with it Lol! Looking froward to hear what your DR says is to come next?

That is great that you did what you needed to do for yourself and did not force going to any of the commitments. Sometimes we just need that time and I am glad it seemed to help some. I hope your apt wed goes well and you get some answers for moving forward!

Good luck telling your new boss. It can\'t be easy but i\'m sure he\'ll understand.
