Weekend, not weakend

This was my first full weekend off in a long, long time.  It was nice to rest up and get some things done around the place.  MY kids did not make it to church.  Supposedly my oldest was sick.  I called the kids this afternoon and talked to them for awhile. The youngest started crying and yelling "I want da-da!"  She was yelling at her mom da-da pick me up.  Wow!! She must really miss me.  My son was talking about video games, and other things he wants to do when he comes over. My oldest was thrilled to hear that my oldest sister is in town from Europe. It has been almost two years since she has seen her.  I get the kids next week for 4 hours.  We are going over to my mothers house for my b-day dinner.  The sunday after that bein the 1 st weekend in feb I get the kids for 8 hours.  No to much longer and  I will get them over night.  Staying sober is not so hard when you have a program like AA working for you.   I am looking forward to get my Standard possesion time back with my kids.  I always hated time.  I seemed like my worst enemy.  Turns out that time is my friend.  With each day past, is another day I am sober.   I will be celebrating my 1 year anniversary on FEB 21st.  So much has changed.  So much for the better. All of this thanks to God.
