Weekend Decompressing.... HOME. yay
Trying to decompress after a difficult weekend. Hubby spend the night and was with his family all weekend and I was with my mom for 3 days. Man o man... was he in a bad mood when he got home. LoL. He had to sleep on a couch that his feet hung off of... he was sick of his mom telling him how to do everything... lol.. and i was caught in the trap of clutter for 3 days at my mom's . It's unbelievable... but I guess it doesn't bother her. It is NOT going to change. I asked my brother if I needed to say something to her and he said to just leave it be... i know he's right. BC it will be ME that has to go thru all that crap and she will not change. She's been that way forever.. not going to change now.
I did some laundry and then decided to do something that would make me HAPPY so I painted one wall in my bedroom. I painted it oatmeal. I've been wanting to paint that wall for like 5 years or more. Geesh. I bought a gadget that trims out the walls pretty easily. I liked it pretty well. It made it a LOT easier. Then I rolled it out. It didn't take long at all... and I got something completed that made me happy and accomplished. When I'm really upset, I either paint, sew, or do something that makes me feel accomplished and happy... it's very theraputic....
Now I can go get a diet DP and call it a day. Hubby cooked burgers on the grill and I think we both feel better after eating. It's so nice to be home.
