Week Two
So far so good on Hubs's new job. Week one of his continual presence has been pleasantly difficult to find words for. The imaginary accountant, Dapper Dude, has been popping up on my shoulder with each attempt to find words for ^it^. "Do first. Define later." I slept excessively last week and even that has felt okay. I am thoroughly do my most profound sorting/processing while I sleep.
"Trust" is the recurring message from The Quiet Voice. Developments are far easier to describe in the past tense. This development is still in the works. Of course my hyper-vigilance is looking for the fatal flaws in the development. "Trust. Let the seedling sprout without continually tugging at its roots and sucker leaves."
The two analogies of 1) Sweeping away eggshells and 2) Learning new steps to the dance have been the guiding mantras of our talks this week. When one of our past dysfunctions rears its ugly head, our conversation has been focused on sorting the facts from the feelings and sweeping away the eggshells left over from our most vicious tit-for-tat skirmishes while we look for new steps to insert in place of the knee-jerk reactions which have traditionally lead to the bloody tit-for-tat skirmishes.
Dunno if those are the right words for ^it^. Letting God lead the dance.

Hugs & support Arfie! Your description resonates a lot. My husband recently has been home a bit more than usual and I can see in myself a similar situation when interacting with him. Although I’m not certain I would have noticed how much so until you posted this.
Hugs!
The best of change is still disorienting and unpredictable. Rolling with the flow. . .
I hear God is a great dancer, so you are in good hands. I do like the eggshell sweeping, and just might have to borrow that technique. Triple hugs
When I use the imagery of egg shell sweeping, it always seems to call up the Blue Danube Waltz.
Ba da da da duh
Sweep, sweep,
Sweep, sweep.
