Week starts again
Yesterday, I visited the Nursing Home here in town, where my sister is. I visited with her and others for a while then, I came home and made some phone calls. Today, I got a phone call to come to the nursing home here and have prayer with a man who was very very ill. I went to his room and could see that he was close to death. I took his hand and joined hands with the nurses and care givers that work there and we had prayer with him and for him. His Pastor couldn't come see him for some reason so, they called me.
I came home, made some phone calls and got some things lined up for my Church's 5th anniversary this Sunday. My wife and I then went to get some lunch and I got a phone call that this man, Gene, had passed away. I had known him for years.
I came back home, done a few odds and ends and got another phone call to inform me that some friends of ours, that we have known since the mid 70's, son had been killed in a snow mobile accident in Wisconsin. My heart sank for them. I know that loss, I know that hurt, and I know that pain.
Life gets tough at times and the past couple of months have been tough for me. My prayers go out to both these families on their losses. Being a Pastor is a blessing for me. I feel honored and privileged to be there for those who are going through these storms in life. I live in a small town of 1200 people with 7 churches in it. I am referred to as the "Pastor on call". I visit more nursing homes, hospitals, and do more funerals, that all the other Pastors do collectively. Since I was saved back in 1973, my goal is to be a blessing to someone, every day. Even though I fight the battles in my own life, God uses a no-body like me to tell everybody that there is somebody, who can save anybody. I am glad I am that nobody messenger.

You are so blessed because you bless so many people in their time of need. You give so much care, love and support on a daily basis. OldBiker, you are a very special person of love, light and peace. Your journal has touched my heart deeply.
As a pastor you should know that God doesn\'t make \"nobodies\".....He knows the number of hairs on your head and your name is inscribed on the palm of His hand...and I would bet that it ain\'t \"Nobody\".....You are a blessing....Smile, God loves you....dale, brandon\'s mom
you are not a nobody, you are someone very important and wll liked. if you werent you wouldnt get all those phone calls
You was a nobody till you asked to be joint heir with the King. I think I said that right. Someday PeeWee God is going to put one of the biggest crowns at your feet and at first you will be in awe of all the ppl you have helped and not know. Yes, you know that feeling,,,so who better to help them thru it? It may help you also.~~~Debbie
U R Blessed, and so R those that know U!!!!!Jeanna
