Week of 3/2/09 - Work in VA
Our mind has power that goes beyond knowledge or imagination. The moment I decided to change my thinking and re-gain control of it, something extraordinary happened. Ideas to keep my head afloat popped up like popcorn in the microwave: slowly, faster, faster, BOOM! The first and the best was the initiation of my Bucket List, writing down little things that make me smile. Every time I look at the list and I work on it, even if it is to add a step in only one item, I smile. It gives me energy, I feel that I can do these little dreams. A few days after the Bucket List idea I received at work this request from my boss to participate in a series of meetings and tests that will take place in VA and I need to be there on 3/2 at 8:00am. I cannot fit inside my body with the amazing happiness that I am feeling by the fact that I will be far and away from this mess I am in right now. Away from what once was a happy home. I know it is only one week and I will have to come back when the time arrives. Yet, I will enjoy the fresh air, the cold weather, the warmth of the people that is already there waiting for me to come with open arms. Bags are packed, counting the minutes to fly away. As the song says "I'm leaving on a jetway, don't know when I'll be back again..."
