week from hell//dog had surgery but is fine//rn put her dog down, its 14//3 people sick at work//di

everyone is having a week from hell this week.  no idea why.  the dog went in for treatment for its teeth and i was ill from the suspense before hand.  i can't handle that.  i need things to be done right away.  suspense knocks me out.  she did fine.  just subdued and needed additional bloodwork that i didn't expect at all.  all is fine for her.  rn wants me to bring the kittie in as well to see if there is a secondary infection causing weight loss.  that is the kittie that the doctor thinks has neurological damage from herpes as a kitten.  no idea.  just know all three had this.  one recovered totally, one missing and one gets thinner every time its sick, that is the one by rn's house, she has it on lysine and vitamins and antibiotics and its running around again, but the whole thing is weird.  always something new with rescue mostly because of the medical part of it.

the guy that instituted good programs at the local pound who deals with all the fostering and placing animals in kiosks outside of the pound, was fired for having a dui.  wth?  also the new director who is supposed to be making under $100,000 per year, i think $65,000 was the deal for such a small director, i don't think they even have 100 employees, is actually made over $100,000 last year.  united way was busted for this a few years ago (or ten years?).  this has to be addressed.  no 501 should be paying out high salaries like that, similarly, no tax funded jobs should pay high amounts either (though they do) its something that needs addressing.

received a photo from north east people from an old wedding in 1977.  almost 40 years.  time flies.  the guy on the end died.  the guy one in from him is in the hospital and the one we know who just retired in boca, needs to fly back.  i snapped on this as they are all related and obviously his family dies in their 60's.  if you already know your family dies in their 60's WHY are you waiting until age 62 to retire in florida, even if its boca which is beautiful (and snooty, always was, i would never choose it, though nowadays i wouldn't choose miami either, too crowded).  if you know this, then semi-retire in your 40's and get out then.  his younger daughters are with him down there, but it sounds like a morbid mess.  (this is how the week started).
my car stuff is still not forwarded over and have more to address with that.  rn is in total depression because she had to put another 14 year old dog of her's down.  that is two.  large dogs generally don't live 14 years, they live ten years, so its a long time for a yellow lab.  the boyfriend who originally owned the dog, called out of nowhere.  strange and said he had no idea why he was calling just thought he should.  she hasn't heard from him in years and was going to look for him anyway to let him know.  her week began with that and her central a/c rusting out but still running.  i said to her, go green like the rest of us.  some places are even getting solar panels now.
the girls who are noisy that k thinks are the ones from one street over were making noise again the other night, so time to put in cameras.  j can still rig the propery and do the rest.  and the asshole that makes the noise by the beach house was going on about the dog.  really?  the dog doesn't live at the beach house.  the dog was at the beach house ONE night before surgery, though i've considered letting her stay over while she recuperates.
had the tire on my car fixed super cheap.  jm's father was there and did it.  they find the leak using soap and water.  it will bubble.  cool. very smart and probably been around forever as a way to do it (no machines needed).
went to the italian place with j  for dinner and the prices went up, so it may not be worth it now.  wth?  good food, but so is the one over by the beach and now they are around the same.  did a bunch of stuff for the animals and k's cat which needs to go to the vet for its ears.  the cat is 14 as well.  he went to db's with m and he says, she thinks she can place out all these animals.  i was like, m has ONE cat, do you honestly think she knows anything at all about rescue?  why not convince her to start feeding strays, that would work.  he says he can't because her boyfriend just had a series of small strokes and needs a lot of care.  hmmm putting food and water outside your door or on your sidewalk each morning, doesn't take a lot of time.
at work 3 are sick.  d from his vericose vein surery, another has a spot on his lung that is copd not cancer.  yay//the other gout and a mysterious something around his nose?  wth?  and me, forgot me, having a lot of pain from the car accident, more than usual lately.  oh, and the car things, rn's engine went, and one of the workers the engine on his car went, blew a gasket.  himmmm can anything else happen this week?
this is cute though at the vet's office some girl says to his grand daughter in front of her mother, is your mother mean, do you have a mean mother.  the little girl around age 3 or 4 thinks about this (so she is smart too, she can think) she says, no.  the woman says to her, your mother isn't mean.  the little girl says, no and shakes her head conclusively, no.  adoreable.  glad her mother isn't mean, and really cool the little one THINKS and considers and she is so young.  loved it.  bet it made her mother's day hearing that.  seriously.
