Week eleven of diagnosis

So  week eleven has had some breakthroughs. I am now getting up every morning and fixing my own eggs, high protein  medifast pancakes, coffee. also fixing my own lunch, taking things in and out of fridge, slicing dicing, microwaving, using cooktop.  Oven stuff still seems too heavy. And I toddle about the kitchen with my walker, which gets awkward.  But managed to throw some clothes in laundry, then in dryer. Then I let the spouse take over.    So Onward. I am doing some hard work at the PTs, and ride my stationary bike for 5 minutes with my husband standing there. I can't get my leg over the center portion of the bike, so he lifts them over and then I get them in the pedals. After 5 minutes, IM kinda done. Having said that, I'll be working up to 7 or 9 minutes  day as soon as I can. Wow. tired hips the next day!#

How wonderful that you are finally making positive progress! I\'m so glad for you. I can remember the days when taking one plate at a time out of the dishwasher was a major breakthrough, even though it took 2 hands to lift each one. But it is progress, and you will continue to make forward strides. Isn\'t it amazing how \"little things\" can mean so much now. Best wishes sent your way.

Fantastic news! So happy for you. I too have been having breakthroughs recently. It\'s a wonderful feeling to be able to do a task that only a few weeks ago seemed to be unattainable. Keep up the good work with PT & I pray the breakthroughs keep coming for you!
