Week 3

I have already been here two weeks. After 5 months of driving, that feels like quite the extended stay. The guilt tugs from Texas are still tugging hard. YS in the hospital. CPS investtigation in progress. Etcetera, etceteri. I just finished scanning my recent journal entries. Don't feel inclined to re-type it. I'm pretty sure Hubs is taking my name in vain right now. His name ain't feeling too comfy in my mouth either. At least we are harmonizing from the same sheet of music for once. Not my personal favorite song, but the band plays on.

Still no decisions made, but I did get out for more exploring today along the west bank of the Mississippi. Thoughts of my next landing spot found me reluctant to go for the great indoors just yet. I scouted another state park instead. Possible. . . Chewing. . .

I am nowhere near to wanting to abandon my Texas family. I miss the GK's mightily and am extremely worried about them. *Just* looking for ways to break out of the proverbial ruts we find ourselves in.

WOW...not sure how you can have a 'rut' with all you accomplish! Driving, camping, volunteering??? Sorry to read of the back homestead issues, must be hard to cope with...going with the flow of your river peace to you!

Remember if you decide to head south, that a lot of campsites are booked in the eclipse zone. Eclipse is on the 21st.
